14 February 2020

Women in Tech,

License Dashboard strives to ensure we are a diverse place of work, encouraging both men and women in progressing their careers and ensuring they are supported every day at work. This year we are actively participating in and promoting International Women’s Day (IWD). #EachforEqual is the campaign theme for IWD2020, showing that collectively, everyone can help create a gender equal community, workplace and world.

International Women’s Day has been celebrated since 1911 and we are delighted to take part in it this year.

About International Women’s Day

IWD celebrates women across the globe, not just for one day but their campaign lasts a year and there are loads of ways you can get involved. Through events, speaking sessions, competitions and more you can help raise awareness of International Women’s Day within your workplace or community.

Working with huge partners, International Women’s Day has become well known and draws many high profile faces to participate.

What will License Dashboard do?

We plan on using our digital platforms to promote IWD2020, spreading the word throughout the ITAM Community. Over the coming weeks we will be looking for participants who want to make a difference and stand together in creating gender equality. By sharing pictures of these great people (like the one featured), we aim to raise awareness and promote fighting bias, broadening perceptions and celebrating women’s achievements.

Women in Tech

As a Women in Technology advocate, I have had the privilege of speaking with some extraordinary women who have shared their thoughts and experiences of working in the technology industry. You can read the conversations I’ve had so far with women who are new to the industry or have built their careers in our blog series.

As well as creating an equal world, women supporting women is extremely important to me and I believe that we can help each other succeed, mentor each other and simply, just be there to assist each other. Building a community where women in our industry can come to feel connected, ask questions and seek advice has been a priority for me over the last couple of years and I hope to engage with more like minded individuals through this year’s IWD.
