Our SAM Consultant, Nicola Adams discusses her journey into the tech industry, her success within our SAM team, and why the License Dashboard culture stands out.

 

 

How did you get into the industry?

My first experience in the tech industry was in 2011, when I was hired as an IT Procurement Officer. However, a few months into my role I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to learn about software licensing and take a lead role managing software and hardware assets. At this point, I had little knowledge of the role so jumped at the chance to learn something new and become part of the journey. I’ve been in the industry ever since!

 

Tell us about your career history and what led you to License Dashboard

As previously mentioned, I was hired as an IT Procurement Officer and then moved to another organization to focus on managed services. The organization I was working for had a managed service with another Licensing Solution Partner (LSP) which I was very involved in. I really enjoyed the work I was doing and I decided that it’s what I wanted to do: deliver SAM services, support customers, grow their knowledge, and give them the feeling of empowerment that I had.

And with time and hard work, I made it. I ended up working in the team at the LSP that had supported me, which is where I gained experience from the other side of the coin. When the time came for me to change roles, I was lucky to hear of a position at License Dashboard. From the first meeting I knew License Dashboard was the place for me, and here I am four years later!

 

What’s your experience of working at License Dashboard so far?

People say you have a ‘honeymoon’ period in jobs, and I must still be in that. I absolutely adore my job, the team, and the whole organization. I have fantastic customers to work with, and there is no such thing as a bad day here.

 

Tell us a little bit about your role

As an SAM Consultant, I look after large accounts, which means developing good relationships with customers, processing information and contracts, and providing support with large projects.

 

How would you describe the culture at License Dashboard?

The culture at License Dashboard is unbelievable. I feel very privileged to be part of this organization, to be supported, to be empowered, and to be encouraged to be the best me. I couldn’t ask for anything more, its priceless and something I’m very grateful for.
